Forging links and synergies within the UOC community

The deputy deans of emerging programmes from the UOC’s seven faculties, the director and staff from the Network of UOC Centres and Vice President for Competitiveness and Employability Àngels Fitó recently met at the UOC’s Tibidabo headquarters.

The meeting had two aims: to meet in person and get to know each other, and to outline the coordination required to establish a joint strategy for the University’s presence in Spain.

The meeting was well received by attendees, with Fitó herself saying: “It was a testament to the perfect harmony between the potential lines of collaboration and the need to continuously foster dialogue to understand, respond to and make the most of the uniqueness of the areas in which UOC centres are found and the opportunities they present.”

• The UOC has seven deputy deans of emerging programmes, one for each faculty. Their tasks include promoting and coordinating knowledge exchange with organizations.

Members of the university community can visit the UOC centres to receive information or guidance. There are centres throughout Spain, and international centres in Mexico and Colombia.
