eHealth Center second anniversary!

31/10/2019

By Imma Alberch

The eHealth Center turned two on 27 June 2019. These past two years have been key to the start-up of the centre as a promoter of research, innovation and training in e-health at the UOC.

In this time we have had the opportunity to take part in contract research projects with firms such as DKV and with Muy Interesante magazine’s health barometer.

We have also launched H-appy Hour, a working group on health apps for UOC staff, and we have been visited by doctoral students interested in undertaking research stays with us.

Last, but not least, we have been involved in the organizing of a number of congresses, such as the mHealth Barcelona Conference, along with the iSYS Foundation, or the seminar “eHealth. Current challenges for and needs of healthcare professionals” in collaboration with the Andalusian School of Public Health. Recently we took part in the 1st Congress on the Right to Personal Autonomy, organized by the COCEMFE.

All this is done in order to enhance research and knowledge exchange in and outside the UOC; facilitate networking; and, finally, catalyse e-health and publicize the University’s research, innovation and training activities.

You can find us online and on Twitter and we also issue a half-yearly newsletter (sign in CA | sign in EN | sign in ES). Follow us! We will continue our efforts to make this community grow so that we can carry on working together in the fascinating world of e-health!
